Born and raised in Stockton, CA , I attended Saint Mary’s High School where I played four years of varsity volleyball, basketball, and 3 years of varsity track and field . During that time, I earned Athlete of the Year honors twice, All State Division 1 All American, and All Area MVP in basketball and volleyball 2 years in a row. I was later inducted into the City of Stockton Athletic Hall of Fame. Growing up, I played club volleyball for Delta Valley and earned back-to-back All-American honors in the Junior Olympics Open Division. In 1992 at age of 15, I won a silver medal in 16 open, and in1993, took a bronze medal in 16 OPEN.
After St. Mary’s High School, I accepted a full scholarship to Washington State University. I played outside hitter and made the All-Freshmen Honorable Mention team in my first season with the Cougars. Washington State University finished 5th in the National rankings. The Cougs tied for 1st in the PAC 10 with Stanford that year. In 1997 I lead the Cougars in digs. In 1998 I was 2nd in the Pac 10 in digs. In 2015 I was inducted in St. Mary’s Hall Of Fame.
- In 2017 I coached Encore 18-1. As the #1 team in Northern California, we were undefeated in Nor-Cal and medaled at 3 national qualifiers. At the Junior Olympics this year the Encore team finished 11th in the country. All 12 players on the roster received full ride scholarships to some of the top universities in the nation.
- In 2016 I Coached Encore 17-1 who were also #1 in Northern California and undefeated in the region. We medaled at all 4 qualifiers the team played in and finished #13th in the Country.
- In 2015 my Encore 16-1 team finished #1 in the Northern California Region. The team finished #1 at the Far Western Qualifier and also at California Kickoff. The team triple qualified in 16 Open, finishing the season with a Bronze medal as #3 in the Nation.
- During 2014 season, I coached Encore 15-1’s team to #1 in the Northern California region. The team finished #1 at the Disney Classic Open Qualifier and California Kickoff. They captured a silver medal at the Far Westerns. The team ended the season at #10 in the Nation.
- In 2013, I coached Encore 18-1. The team went undefeated in the Northern Cali region, finishing #1. They took a silver medal at the Far Westerns and won the California Kickoff. At the Junior Nationals, the team finished 9th in the Nation.
- In 2012, my Payes 17-Black won a second consecutive Power League Championship, as well as went undefeated in 17 Open. We also took home gold at Colorado Crossroads 17-Open, and won a bronze medal in 17-Open at the Nationals. Two years ago, my Payes 16-Black team finished 1st in NCVA and in the top 13 in the open division at Junior Nationals. In 2005 I was head JV coach at Saint Francis High School. In four seasons at Saint Francis, my teams were league champs all 4 years. 3 out of those 4 years, they went undefeated.
- I currently coach the Varsity team at Notre Dame in Belmont . In 2014 I was lucky enough to take the school to its first volleyball CCS Championship and Northern California division 4 State Championship. During my 6 years of coaching at Notre Dame, I have captured 7 banners that have been hung with pride in the Notre Dames gym. I have previously coached at other clubs winning a silver medal in 15 National and a bronze medal in 15 Open.
